Travel Question

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Federal

Hello .. when a US citizen returns from abroad and when the immigrations officer swipes your passport, what information is given? I ask because I was under federal investigation recently but no crime was committed by me and I know they can take computers and cameras without a warrant, but I would like not to lose my honeymoon pictures. Any idea on what kind of check is done?
