Wink

My husband has lived in the states for 25 yrs. He is a permanent Resident but does not have citizenship. What is the quickest way for him to get citizenship? He has always paid taxes, has a SS#, etc. Would a lawyer get this process done quicker? If so about how much would something like this cost?

First place to start is http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/services/natz/index.htm

You need to file form "Application for Naturalization" (Form N-400) and send it to your district service center. I believe the processing time is approx 2 years and the filing fee is $225.
