I’m writing on behalf of US visitor (B2 visa) from Russia. She flew into states a month ago and had to be hospitalized 3 times (due to high blood pressure and TIA). She has received her first bill of $20G for her first hospitalization and doesn’t have insurance and is unable to pay (doesn’t have SS#). What can she expect? Thank you beforehand.

It's nothing to do with immigration.. she's a tourist.
She can try working a deal with the hospital.
