i have a friend who came to the USA via Jamaica. He came here on a visiting visa but never return to renew his visa. He came here when he was 17 and he's now 30. He was working under another name ( which was purchase) He went to jail several time under that name ( suspended license ). He got married (under his real name 5years ago) to a girl he really loved. He hired a lawyer to help him with his status but the paper work was never sent in beacause he and his wife were going thru things and she threatned not to go to the interviw if the papers were file. As for the arrest under a different name , the lawyer told him he could file a waiver for that. His wife sent divorce paper in the mail a few days ago. What should he do? If the diviorce goes thru can he remarried after and how long before he can remarried?
