Discrimination because of inter-office dating

What is the name of your state (TX)

My employer consistently asks my female coworker and I what the status of our relationship is. However, on staff there are already two married couples working together in high positions. They did not inform us of any company policies against interoffice dating, they simply ask very personal questions. We are also both college students. Is there any law that can help our situation or can be used to defend ourselves? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

**A: what does it state in your employee handbook? And for your information, being married is different from dating.

There is nothing illegal going on. If you don't want to answer the questions, then don't. Of course, they can fire you for that. They can fire you for dating, or breaking up. They can fire you for any reason or no reason that is not specifically prohibited by law. "People who are dating" is not a protected class.

**A: what? Dates are not a protected class? That's not what the California Raisen's legal counsel told me. Or maybe I just heard it through the grapevine.
