I agree. This poster needs to sit down with HR or his manager, whichever is appropriate in his employment environment, explain his limitations and request an accommodation. He needs to be aware that his employer IS entitled to medical documentation from his doctor and that he is not necessarily entitled to the accommodation he wants or even the one the doctor recommends, only one that works.
