job harassment/discrimination

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MN

I worked for a small non-profit for 8 years as a family advocate and when a new supervisor came on 3 years ago within 3 months I was written up for smelling like alcohol more than once, even though I never had a drink in time frame on or off work and that I took to long shopping. The board president was shocked how unprofeesional this was and had it removed from my file. Ever since I was singled out as being targeted for every little thing while others did not get repremanded for the same and I was presumed by supervisor that I had ADHD, so I had it checked out and I ironically did have adult ADHD and was put on meds. My boss would call me add and comment that I was not organized and so on. I felt like I was walking on eggshells at work and I started missing more and got wrote up while co-workers said they did not for being late or doing the same as me. Finally on Sept. 02/ 2008 I was terminated 'they said for not providing service to a client for being late, but I did provide the service to the client although I was running late I was not late as my scheduled time I was on time . They had me fired before they knew any details and then later made up the rest to deny me recieving unemployment benefits. In which unemployment judge sided with employer. I felt it was a very confusing situation in which were manipulated to favor employer. Please note in my 8 years I know of alot of firings that happened and am sure employer learned what to say and not even as far as to lie. I overall felt abused metally by my employer in a way...? At times I was brought up and then slammed down the next, I was told I should go bak to my old employer when I suggested wanting a raise. And there is more too much for now to write. Please comment any help is appreciated. I feel so law from all of this. Thank you

I don't see that your employer has done anything illegal. If you had undiagnosed/untreated ADHD, then that very likely was affecting your work performance -difficulting concentrating, difficulty being organized, etc. Even though you had a neurological condition, your employer does not have to accommodate that by accepting sub-par performance.

Finally on Sept. 02/ 2008 I was terminated 'they said for not providing service to a client for being late, but I did provide the service to the client although I was running late I was not late as my scheduled time I was on time . That doesn't make a lot of sense. Were you on-time to visit with the client but failed to complete any pre-client meeting requirements because you were running late?

When you received the determination from the State denying unemployment benefits, you were free to appeal the decision.

I was told I should go bak to my old employer when I suggested wanting a raise. There's nothing illegal about your employer saying that.
