What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

You need to explain more clearly, but if the bathroom is on company property, the company gets to call the shots of what is and what is not allowed at work.

They do not need to even allow you to have your cell at work.

Hey...

My cell phone fell in the toilet once. At least with this company policy they are offering you some protection from a wet and yucky cell phone
