What is the name of your state? colorado
is it legal for a company to make team builders, drinking with coworkers of the opposite sex and reimbursing for that alcohol while not reimbusing for your spouses lunch if she should have the opportunity to travel with you, madatory. my husband works for a company that will not allow me to travel with him without thier permission, yet I have to pay my own way. they also put him in situations without me there that involves female coworkers and alcohol and tell him it is mandatory.

An employer can require employees to attend business related social functions. If the employer wants to provide alcoholic beverages, they are free to do that too. Nobody is going to force your husband or anyone else to drink - he's perfectly free to order a soft drink if he prefers. Nor is an employer remotely obligated to allow an employee's spouse to accompany him or her on a business trip or at a social function, or pay their way if they choose to attend. FYI - they can also prohibit spouses or other guests from attending if they wish to. Some events are appropriately "employees only."

I don't know if the problem here is your husband or your lack of trust him him but be advised that an unwanted "tag along" spouse at company functions where he or she is not welcome can be a career-limiter for the employee.
