Hello everyone, my wife has been having some trouble with her supervisor at work. He's been doing some very strange things that are making her very uncomfortable at work.

As an example, last week, on pay day, she was waiting for her check to be given to her by her supervisor. He had passed out the checks to everyone else, then purposely put her check in his pocket, and forced her to wait till the end of the day to get her check. He witheld her pay purposefully.

And today, which was the final straw for me, she walked into his office while his door was open to talk to him. She walked in and saw that he was looking at pornographic images, she immediately felt uncomfortable. She notified me and I'm not sure what to do about this. She feels she can't talk to the people above her supervisor (it's a motorcycle shop so the owners are above the supervisor), because she feels they won't do anything because they haven't done anything about his actions in the past.

Personally though, I feel this is deplorable and disguisting and makes the workplace a very uncomfortable place for her to be at the moment.

What is the proper course of action for this? I believe this qualifies as harassment, but I'm not 100% sure, I'm not a wiz with legal things.

Thank you for your help,
Cody

Withholding her check till the end of the day is strange, but not illegal. There's nothing in the law that says when on payday she has to receive her check.

A single instance is not enough to support a harassment claim.

How is HR or upper management supposed to know there's a problem if she doesn't tell them about it?
