stalker on the job

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? sc. I was informed that a male co-worker was stalking me. I bragged about waiting on me to leave work and he would follow me home. I am a single mother and afraid. I reported it to my employeer, but nothing was done. Actually they move me to another shift, and i now work with this stalker. I want to know if my employer is liable for putting me in an unsafe, hostile enviroment?

Am I reading this right? First you brag about this guy following you home, now you claim your employer has placed you in an unsafe, hostile enviroment?

Who told you he was stalking you?

I think our OP mis-typed...I think HE bragged about it and then followed her home.

Yep, now it makes sense.
OP, have you reported your worries about this man to the police?

i think you should tell the cops right now as it can get really serious. a guy used to stalk me while i was at univeristy, leaving notes and expensive gifts on my car and would watch and smile as i read the note or saw the gift. it was the most disgusting thing in the world. since you know about it and if he is bragging to everyone, tell the cops or just get a restraining order if it gets worse. good luck!

Not necessarily. Is he still stalking you? Has he done anything of a hostile or stalky nature since you reported him to your employer? If your answer is yes, please elaborate - what you tell us will help us help you.
