What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maryland
I work in a urban fire department on the ambulance. Approx 6 months ago, the City installed Drive-Cam in all the ambulances. My question is, do employees and/or patient family members have a reasonable expectation of privacy when riding in the ambulance? As a paramedic and driver, I do question patient family members while driving about important medical information regarding the patient. A little about Drive-Cam: this is a device that is installed on the windshield, in plain view, that records video and audio clip of 10-12 seconds when triggered. Things that cause triggering are high speeds and sudden jarring stops.
