What is the statute of limitations for filing a lawsuit in NC for harassment?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina

I want to file a lawsuit against Food Lion (Salisbury, NC) because a manager in their store forced me out of a job. I'll be very upfront and say that I came to work 100% on time, did everything required, etc.
But I'm gay and he apparently does not like that; owner employees gave me no problems for weeks then suddenly they started making insults.

It's 180 days. However, sexual orientation is not a protected characteristic under either Federal or NC law.
