What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
I work for a Finnish software company. I work with a young woman who was 3 months my senior. Our boss is in Finland. I am 41 and have been working in technology almost all of my professional life. She I believe is 25. I would like to know why she is allowed to come into work late (average 20 minutes) and leave early. Why she gets to go to lunch with all the consultants and spend well over an hour out. Why she gets an office and tells everyone she is the head of our department in the US when she is not. She is a pleasant person and very outgoing. Except for the stealing of time that is not reported to personnel. I would like to know where do I stand, will I get fired if I complain to my boss about her? Do I have a leg to stand on if I wanted to tell the company what she is up to? we do not use time clocks, so I have written a script to let me know when her computer is on or off the network and at what time. She averages about an hour a day without being accountable for it. That adds up. Am I being petty or do I deserve what she is entitled to do? Oh did I mention she dates the consultants here, lives with another one? My Boss adores her, so if I were to complain he shrugs it off. What else should I be doing to protect myself?
