3 years ago we adopted a girl who is now 16 (she will be 17 next month). We have done therapy, residential treatment, tutoring, etc. to help her. Last week she decided to move out. We all met with her therapist and discovered there was absolutely no way we could make her stay home. We thought she was living with a girl she worked with and her parents, but recently found out she is living with her 17 year old boyfriend. She is not going to school and is convinced she can emancipate even though she doesn't meet the requirements. What is our liability for "allowing" our 16 year old daughter to live with her boyfriend?

Child neglect. Contributing to the delinquency of a Minor. Failure to support. Possible Child sexual abuse (by allowing your under-aged child to live with her boyfriend). Child abandonment.

FYI: You should never take legal advice from a therapist.
