18 yr old son & damages.

What is the name of your state? Idaho

Son is 18 and still in high school.
Him and friends were hitting golf balls.
My son bounced one off a tree and it hit a pickup in the door, causing $400 damage.
My question...leagally, am I responsible for damages? Thanks.
