in the state of Ohio is it true that you can legally date someone 4 years older than you if your are 16 and do not have sex?

There are no laws restricting how old you have to be simply to date anybody.

In all 50 states, at any age you can legally *date* (without sexual contact) anyone, of any age, that your parents permit you to date.

There are NO laws anywhere in the US about DATING, at any age. There are plenty of laws regarding who a minor can or cannot have sex with.

That being said, if you're 16 a 20 year old is way too old for you.

Also, it is illegal to contribute to the delinquency of a minor, and you don't have to have traditional intercourse in order to be guilty of criminal sexual conduct. Here's a good resource for Ohio's crim sex laws, but remember, you can be guilty of a different crime that is codified elsewhere.
