What is the name of your state? Michigan

A friend of mine's mother is having issues with her 17 year old daughter. The daughter is way out of hand at this point, becoming both physically and verbally violent with the mother and other family members, including young adolecents in the family. The mother wants to kick the child out of the home, but can't seem to find any michigan state laws on the topic. The home that they live in, is in the mother's name, the mother pays the bills, ect. The 17 year old has stated that she hates her mother and wishes she would just "walk out of her life forever." I do know that the emancipation laws here in michigan prevent the 17 year old from filing an emancipation until she is 18 years of age, but can the mother kick the girl out of the home at 17? The girl is a full time student, however has trouble holding down a job, (on her own account) and on top of it was recently apprehended at a store for grand larceny of over $100. The mother is at her wits end, and would like to make the girl leave the home.. what are her options???
Thanks so much.

No the mother cannot kick her out until she is 18, if she does the mother can get into trouble with the law.

Has the girl always been like this? Has her mother seeked help, consouling, trouble teen retreats. In most cases there is a reason why teenagers act out in that way, death in the family, divorce, problems at school and so on.
