What is the name of your state? California.

I'm 16 years old, if I get a full time job can I emancipate? And if I do emancipate, could I drop out of HS and just get my GED. I'm really far behind in school due to mostly problems at home.

Also, could I move in with a 19 year old, if I do emancipate?

In order to become emancipated, you must
Have parents or guardain permission
Must provide court with a good reason, as to why you should be
Must have full time job
Must pay for apartment rent, where you would live alone
Must pay for clothes, food, and so on
Must pay for medical and car insurrance
And should finish highschool and not drop put
Must support self 100%, no help from anyone

If you are unable to do any of these things you will be placed back into your parents or guardains care.

If you far behind in school, there is help for that, talk with the school consouler and they will help work something out with you.
