Question

Emancipation and Jail

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT

Can I go to jail for not going to an emancipation hearing that my child has filed for when I received a summons of the hearing? This is in the state of Connecticut.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If you're not "concerned" enough to go to such a hearing, perhaps it's understandable that your child has filed for emancipation.
