First Citation ever. please help!

This is the first time I have ever spoken to a police officer let alone get a juvenile citation.I was at a park with two other friends around 7:10pm and a cop shows up telling us to sit on our hands on the ground so we do what he says. The police officer tells us that hes writting each of us a citation for being at a park after dark nothing more. My question is what is going to happen to me now that I have been written a citation? Read the citation. It will tell you what to do... whether you plead guilty and pay the fine... or want to appear in court to present a defense.

It's a municipal code violation and will generally have only a small fine attached.

Since I don't know your city or the code section you were cited under, I don't know. It's not likely to be over $100, though.
