What is the name of your state? VA
Scenario: 12 year old boy visits FL. He is accused of asking much younger girl to "touch" him. He is returned to homestate of VA. Parent takes him for counseling and the counselor contacts FL PD and Social Services to report it. Almost a year later a detective from FL calls to say he will be visiting VA to interview boy. Do the parents have to allow the interview? Can the boy refuse to speak? Can he be charged with anything and made to return to FL? If it is not financially feasible for the family to hire an attorney what is the best course of action until they are able? Thanks
