What is the name of your state? Alabama

Ok, i know there are already some threads on here similar to this situation, but i have yet to find the answer i need, so here i am.

My best friend is 18 and a senior in high school. His mother forced him out of his house a couple of weeks ago. She and her husband are now moving a few hours away and she wants him to move with them. He refuses to go. She has taken his car, which he and his grandfather paid for.

Is taking his car legal? If not, what can he do about it?

Can she force him to move with them?

What are his rights? What are hers?

Thanks ahead of time for the help! This situation is stressing us all out...

Well it depends whose name is on the registration/ownership of the car.

he is 18 so they can not force him to move.
