    Juvenile Background Check

    What is the name of your state? Tennessee

    I received an informal adjustment a couple of months ago. I'm only 17. It was my first and last theft. Basically, I just want to know if it will show up on a background check.

    An IFA (Informal Adjustment) is basically the same as the Pre-Trial Diversion Program for adults. If you successfully complete the IFA, you will not be adjudicated a delinquent child, and it should not show up on a background check.

    The arrest might possibly show up on a background search, but probably wouldn't.

    I'm a juvenile probation officer, although not in TN.
