My son at 17 was working for a grocery store and was caught giving discounts when he checked as opposed to typing in the correct code number for produce and he also gave some discounts to his freinds. The store talked to him and fired him and made him sign a promissory note that he would pay back the store a total of $900.00. However they did not show him the evidence that he had given 900$ worth of discounts. Also is it legal to have a minor sign a promissory note?
