My son had gum spit in his face at school by another student. In the next class, my son hit the student that spit gum in his face three times in the face...apparently lots of blood spilled from the other kids nose. My son was suspended for 5 days and the other kid for 1 day. We've heard the other kid is looking into filing criminal charges and suing. Does he have a case? Can he sue us? What is our responsibility?
