What is the name of your state? California

A kid at my school got caught for a misdemeanor and was questioned by the police at school. She was crying all kinds and hyperventilating (sp?) when the office secretary came to give her a bag to help her with her panic attack, the vice principal (who had signed as her guardian b/c she is 17 and getting arrested) grabbed the bag away from her and yelled that no one should help her because she is being arrested. I was sitting across the room and saw the whole thing. Can the VP do that or is she breaking some sort of law?????

What the VP did was not against the law. If she is being arrested and in medical distress, the proper thing would have been to call for EMS. While it may not have been an issue to allow her to breath into a bag, it also is not required.
