My brother is 16 years old and my mom is having trouble keeping him in school. He will get in trouble every week or so just to get suspended. He only comes home when he wants to. She has been on him constantly to go to school and to stay at home but he refuse to listen. Now the school is sending letters stating that he has miss to many days and they are going to take her to court. A lot of these days she doesn't even know about. My question is can she go ahead and let him drop out or does he have to wait until he is 17? He already told her he will be dropping out anyways and there is nothing she can do about it when he turns 17.
