teenager problems

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? oklahoma. My 16 y/o daughter was babysitting, a search warrant was served while she was there. She had a gun pointed at her, was thrown down, a booted foot put on her head, and handcuffed. Are the police within their rights to do this to a minor? She was allowed to leave with me when I arrived to pick her up. I was not aware of this until I arrived. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Are the police allowed to secure the perimeter and ensure their own safety regardless of the age of those within the perimeter? Of course they are!

**A: you really need to let her watch more episodes of Cops or AMW.

The question is not whether they can do this to a minor, but can they do it to anyone. Of course they can do it to a minor. However, with any person, they are not allowed to use what is called "excessive force". This sounds like it may be excessive force to throw her down on the floor, especially if she was cooperating. The question is whether it is worth a lawsuit. Probably not if she did not have substantial injuries.

Take the specifics of your case to a lawyer.

Without knowing the reason the search warrant was issued, or the outcome of the search, there is no way to determine if the people she was babysitting for have done anything wrong or as you suggest, allowed her to work in a hostile environment.

Hence, your suggestion is ridiculous at this point.
