underage drinking ticket

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Texas

I was at my friends apartment we were up all night and i went outside, fell, and got a concussion...my head was bleeding. There was a cop nearby and saw. After that all i remember was paramedics checking me out and then i remember the cops saying i was drunk and trying to give me a ticket. I kept telling them to give me a breathalyzer to prove i was intoxicated and he refused and told me to go buy one. I refused to sign the ticket and they told me i had to sign it or go to jail, so i signed it. So my question is should i fight it in court? if not, what should i plead?

awww come on... you know the answer to that. She had just brushed her teeth and used mouthwash. That's why she smelled like alcohol

Ok - then a breathalyzer wouldn't be required.

If you feel strongly than plead not guilty. I am assumig by signing the ticket than you are admitting to consuming alcohol. You will need a lawyer. Also even if you do plan to plead guilty I would suggest still pleading not guilty, that way maybe you can get a reduction of some sort. An attorney consultation would be wise.

Signing the ticket is NOT an admission of guilt. It is notice that you received the ticket and maybe even the court date.

Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship. The devil is in the details after all.
