What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
In general, can sheriff's escort landlords to the property when the tenants move out to ensure that they don't damage the home further or steal tenants property (we have some furniture in there)?
Also, even after proper notice and reviewing our lease and the Florida statutes, the tenant has threatened us to not enter the premises. Are there any forms or contact with the sheriff's office or something that can help stop their threats since it's our right to inspect, etc?
Or is there anything we can do now that we don't feel safe entering the property and don't feel any of our items in the home are safe? We have no experience reporting things to the police. All your help and any tips you may have are very much appreciated.
