I have a serious problem with a the retail space I lease. There is water pouring down from the hotel above my store and it has seriously damaged my inventory. I am in California. The hotel owner says it is the problem for the landlord's insurance. The landlord says it is a problem for the hotel's insurance company. What do I do? How do I proceed with this? Also, I initially rented the space adjacent to where I am now and did not have a new lease drafted when I moved next door. Do I have a legal leg to stand on here on getting some reimbursement? Thank you.
