What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Connecticut

Recently we found we had an infestation of bed bugs in the single family house we were renting. After several specialists coming to the house we confirmed that the house needed to undergo heat treatment. This treatment was very costly to the tune of $1923.65 which I paid in full. Technically is the landlord responsible for the treatment? At least half?

Yes, it will make a big difference if you moved in 2 weeks ago, or two years ago.
Did you bring them in, or were they already there (assuming you moved in just weeks ago).

FarmerJ, the original post said the house has an infestation of bed bugs. Trying to determine the source of bed bugs is difficult.
