What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Massachusetts

Hi:
My landlord is refusing to do a pre move out inspection. He says he has 1 weeks after I move out to do the inspection. I am worried that he will not give me my security deposit. Is that legal?

MA law only requires the landlord to provide a move in inspection or "Statement of Condition" report. You may request a pre move out inspection, but the landlord is not obligated to provide one.
