Case Law? Faulty Service 3 Day Notice by Nail & Mail requires extra 5 days CCP 1013a?

Tennant received a 3 day notice to pay or quit by posting and mailing.

Unlawful detainer was filed 5 days after posting and mailing.

Does the case automatically get dismissed if unlawful detainer was filed prior to the 3 plus 5 days?
