evicting illegal tenants

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
My daughter lives in our house allowed some friends of hers to live with her without our knowledge or consent. We have never made any agreement with these people nor have they ever paid any kind of rent. My daughter has asked them to leave and so have we and they refuse? Is there anyway to get these people out of our house without having to go through a long and possibly costly eviction process?

How long have they lived in the residence? Does your daughter pay rent? Do YOU live in said residence??

Ask your daughter for the names of the people she let in then send each one of them their own letter , one copy via certified mail to each person telling them they must move out in a time frame that your states laws allow for month to month renters. its still early enough that you can get first notices out and then if needed second copy of notices via confirmed mail delivery in a week or so then if they dont leave each person would have to be taken to court so they can explain to a judge why they are entitled to stay on after they got notice from you telling them to move out. If your not sure what or how to do the notices go see a real estate atty or a atty who specializes in eviction so she/he can do the notices for you and make sure the entire thing is done cleanly with no mistakes.
