What is the name of your state?I live in New York City. I met this girl 4 months ago, and started dating her
(no intamacy just resturants and stuff). She is a russian immigrant and
supposedly awaiting working papers, she claimed she had no place
to stay so i offered her my couch for a couple days. A couple days
became a couple weeks which became a couple months. In that time
it became apparent that any type of relationship would be
impossible(she is arrogant and overbearing). 2 months ago she
demanded i give her 12,500 dollars for paying some INS lawyer, i
refused. After this she became irrate and verbaly hostile towards
me, i asked her to leave and she kept giving me dates that she
would, but would never actually leave.
So i began an eviction process(considering she was there for more
than 30 days) because she is not on my lease, has NEVER payed me
rent, and i dont want her in my apt. She has become very angry and
vengful towards me, and has even had her mother now come and live
in my apt. Her mother has no right to be there according to
housing court, BUT the police can not eject her because she is a
supposed GUEST of this girl. Her mother and herself berate and
humiliate me daily now.
When i insisted that her mother must leave she called a me an evil
jew(wierd because im not jewish), and threatened to kill me. Now i
know that is not legal. But how do i get a restraining order
against her? Mor importantly HOW do i prove she threatened me?
There were no wittnesses and she claims she will just deny it. I
am now afraid to sleep in my own apartment. If i get a restraining
order, will they immediatly eject her? I know if i try to get a
restraining order and it was not granted(and she found out
somehow) that she probably would attack me. Can anyone suggest
what i should do?
