What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maryland

My wife and I recently moved, and let out 21 year old son stay in the house. To help out with expenses he took roommates.

These roommates supposedly got our son to sign some type of lease agreement (although nothing was ever signed by us - the home owners), and we never said that these people could move in in the first place.

There have been many problems, the least of which is that these "renters" are consistently late in their payments to our son (not to mention trying to constantly renegotiate the rent).

We, as the home owners, told these people that they needed to make arrangements to move. They're openly hostile toward our son, have filed a police report with the county stating that he stole some of their property, and a whole slew of other items.

What is our recourse considering we never entered into an agreement with these people? (We also never signed a sub-leasing agreement or rental agreement allowing them to move in in the first place.

Your son gave them permission to move in.

If he signed an agreement, he is now their landlord and they are his subtenants.

He can evict them if they breach their written agreement by not paying rent, etc.
