We just gave our landlord 30 days notice, however, when we went to sign the lease with our new landlord, we could not go past the 5th of the month. We had given our old landlord a letter that stated we would be out on or before the 12th.

Since we need to move sooner than that....and are actually planning on being out by the 1st, can they actually charge us rent for april???
