| You signed the lease, you are obligated to fulfill its terms. Having a feeling about a landlord is not a legal reason to break the lease
If the landlord hasnt sued you, and has not written any letters demanding money from you, then forget about the money, if you sue him he can countersue for every day you havnet paid the rent...so take the small loss now, or sue and possibly face a bigger loss.
So i hope you are not planning on going out tonight, you are going to need the money for a lawyer.
