Question

i am a tenant in arizona being faced with eviction. i am trying to find an argument on my behalf since i am the lease holder and the other two roomates are not being charged with any fees or money for the eviction, it is being entirely placed on my shoulders. prior to signing the lease isnt it customary for a rental agency to check credit and income to make sure that the leasee is financially able to pay for the apartment?

And thats the way it should be.....YOU are considered a LANDLORD************** Wheter you like it or not!

YOU signed the lease..YOU are responsible for paying ALL the rent and utilities, YOU make the contract to have roomates and pay X amount a month...

YES YOU are responsible. for ALL fees and costs IF YOU are faced with eviction.

So that is why it is perfectly acceptable to charge YOUR 2 roomates MORE then 1/3 of the rent becuse of the risk YOU take, for not having ALL of you sign the lease.

Now if the roomates didnt pay rent and THEY caused the eviction you can sue them in small claims court for the money...

BUT AGAIN...if you get evicted and a judgment is levied on YOU**************then it will show up on YOUR credit report...NOT a good idea!
