| Lead paint liability What is the name of your state? FL
I am purchasing a house with the intention of renting it section 8. I want to eliminate my exposure to lead paint liability which the home may/may not contain. There will be children in the rental family. The seller is planning on signing a document stating that there is no knowledge of lead paint present. Since I know the seller has done no testing, this document is really not saying much of anything. Does this document limit my liability in any way? I am hoping to avoid paying for the inspection, which might be expensive, and particularly the situation if there is lead paint found, which will nix what to this point seems like a great property deal. Thoughts, Advice? Thank you. |
