What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado
So...My girlfriend was staying with a friend (the wife) and some domestic issues arose (my girlfriend not included). The husband is not aloud on the property and doesn't want my girlfriend living there so he put a restraining order on my girlfriend. The order will be dropped soon.
NOW. This is where it turns ugly. The friend won't answer calls or texts or the door. YELLS at my girlfriend to go away the cops are coming. My girlfriend is now concerned that her friend may be selling her stuff before the restraining order is over in a couple days.
What can we do? Can I call the police and do a civilian escort to get MY laptop and my girl's stuff? Can my girlfriend do that with the order she has on her?
P.S. She was never asked to pay rent but was given a written letter from the friend to not only live there but to act in friend's place when she was gone to protect her belongings but (you guessed it) the letter is in the house.
