Question

No Lease

What is the name of your state? I live in WI and recently moved into a duplex. The landlord allowed me to move in 2 weeks prior and now I still have no lease. Rent is now due and I'm wondering if I send the money without signing a lease?

By all means you need to pay rent One way to clear it up is to go and write the LL a letter and state you need to meet with him/her in order to sign a lease and get your first rent paid . so you would like to meet a local drugstore or some where that has a photo copy machine . make copy and send the Letter at the very least with a certificate of mailing so you get a rcpt and the LL wont have to sign for it . ( that will be a polite way to get them to take care of it all at once )
