We own a double wide mobile home. However we lease the lot which we have for 6 years. the owner of the land says we own him back taxes on the property and has given a 15 day notice to evict, is this leagal in the state of Tennessee. The taxes are for the land.

Does your written lease require you to pay the real estate taxes?

We didn't get a lease last year as it was ususally a yearly thing. Only one lease and that was back about 3 years ago mentioned land taxes which we paid. THe man the owns the property send a letter last year and told us how much the taxes were for 2005 and put a note on itand I quote" do not attempt to go to the court house to pay" he wanted us to pay him directly.
