What is the name of your state? UT
I work for a rather large property management company in UT. Our Lease Addendum states that it is a violation of the Lease Contract (which it is) and a violation of the LAW to prorate rent at the end of a lease term. As per our Lease Contract, all notices to vacate must be at least 30 days and must be submitted in writing on or before noon on the last day of the month and must be for the last day of the month. I have read the UT LLT Laws and I cannot find anywhere in the laws that it is against the LLT Law to prorate rent for the final month of a lease.
Am I just missing this???
