What is the name of your state? indiana father owned house rents it out. he passed away 4/2002 . the person he lived with was collecting money for the rent . (boyfriend-girlfriend) finally got part of his personal belongings.ask her for rent money and any lease paperwork 4/2002- present. all that she gave us was a partial pymnt rent receipt for feb.2002 and bills for repairs starting in10/ 2001 to 3/2002. beings we are exec.of estate do we have to accept these or is she responsible to have deducted them prior to us taking over.instead of her giving us rent money collected she wants us to deduct these as rent pymnts.some of the receipts are repairs made to her vehicle by the tenant.

plus there is another house that she hasn't given us anything on. i assume because her daughter inheritates it she thinks she don't have to hand over the rent for this one either.

Assuming ownership documents allow this, go directly to tenants and have them send $$$ to you and then YOU account to other beneficiaries.
