Once you file against your former tenants, they must be served.

This is often the most difficult thing to do when dealing with slippery deadbeats.

If you wish to handle this case yourselves, try to sit in a Civil/Magistrates court docket (Georgia's version of Small Claims) just to see what happens during the actual hearing.
