Temporary Property Manager?

I currently live in Md, but own a rental in NC. As I understand it, we can fire the property manager at any time, without the 60 days notice in the property manager contract since the property manager has already breached the contract. ( we instructed her to file for eviction on the 19th, she has not as yet) Since I am out of state, can I give a Specific POA to a friend to handle the house and tenants until we find a new property manager?

Is is possible but the cleanest way is to hire a rental management co. You could hire one today.
