| | Termination contract by tenant, time? What is the name of your state? Illinois
Hi there,
I live in University Family Housing and have a lease/contract that expires at the end of May each year. It states in the contract that it is automatically renewed if no action is taken by either the tenant or University Housing. I pay my rent monthly although some people pay by semester. According to University Housing I have a cancellation time of 90 days if I want to move out of the apartment. It used to be 30 days but over two years has increased to 90. Can they do this? Some people tell me thy can only demand a 30 days notice (by the way subletting is not allowed).
